I can talk about how animals help people and what they provide for us.

Purpose:

30-50 UW Comments and asks questions about aspects of their familiar world such as the place where they live or the natural world

30-50 L Builds up vocabulary that reflects the breadth of their experiences.

40-60 UW Looks closely at similarities, differences, patterns and change.

40-60 CL Extends vocabulary, especially by grouping and naming, exploring the meaning and sounds of new words.

40-60 L Uses talk to organise, sequence and clarify thinking, ideas, feelings and events.

ELG UW They make observations of animals and plants and explain why some things occur, and talk about changes.

How can you help at home?

  • Visit a farm
  • Look out for animals that help people
  • Search in supermarket for products that come from animals

How can you help at home?

  • Talk about what you do to celebrate Easter
  • Play egg and spoon races
  • Make hot cross buns

40-60 PD Shows understanding of how to transport and store equipment safely.

ELG- PD Children know the importance for good health of physical exercise, and a healthy diet, and talk about ways to keep healthy and safe.

How can you help at home?

  • Practice throwing and catching in different ways
  • Play target games
  • Use different size and shaped balls
