I can try new experiences- fruit tasting
Purpose:
30-50 CL Questions why things happen and gives explanations. Asks e.g. who, what, when, how.
40-60 PSED Confident to speak to others about own needs, wants, interests and opinions.
40-60 CL Uses talk to organise, sequence and clarify thinking, ideas, feelings and events.
40-60 PD Eats a healthy range of foodstuffs and understands need for variety in food.

How can you help at home?
• Try different fruit and vegetables
• Make fruit kebabs
• Allow your child to help prepare vegetables for cooking

Key vocabulary: Fruit names, slimy, juicy, tasty, disgusting, horrible, yummy, delicious

I can plan a healthy lunch box
Purpose:
30-50 CL Beginning to use more complex sentences to link thoughts (e.g. using and, because).
30-50 PD Can tell adults when hungry or tired or when they want to rest or play.
40-60 PD Eats a healthy range of foodstuffs and understands need for variety in food.
40-60 PD Shows some understanding that good practices with regard to exercise, eating, sleeping and hygiene can contribute to good health.

How can you help at home?
• Talk about what food is healthy
• Sorting healthy and unhealthy food
• Plan a healthy meal together

I can say what fills and empties a bucket (feelings)
Purpose:
30-50 PSED Aware of own feelings, and knows that some actions and words can hurt others’ feelings.
30-50 PSED Demonstrates friendly behaviour, initiating conversations and forming good relationships with peers and familiar adults.
40-60 PSED Takes steps to resolve conflicts with other children, e.g. finding a compromise.
40-60 CL Uses talk to organise, sequence and clarify thinking, ideas, feelings and events.

How can you help at home?
You Fill a bucket by doing kind, helpful thing and empty it with unkind things you do

• Have feeling buckets at home discuss what fills your bucket
• Who has filled you bucket today?

Key vocabulary: Bucket, feelings, happy, kind, sharing, laugh, fun, play

I can read data from a graph 

Purpose:
30-50 M Uses some number names and number language spontaneously.
30-50 M Compares two groups of objects, saying when they have the same number.
30-50 CL Uses talk to connect ideas, explain what is happening and anticipate what might happen next, recall and relive past experiences.
40-60 PSED Confident to speak to others about own needs, wants, interests and opinions.
40-60 M Counts objects to 10, and beginning to count beyond 10.
40-60 M Uses the language of ‘more’ and ‘fewer’ to compare two sets of objects.

How can you help at home?
• Make graphs for your families favourite meal
• Make a graph using the types of toys you have (teddies, cars etc)
